In this day and era, we often hear news about new gadgets and devices being released, some being new gadgets and some improved versions of existing ones. With each release, we always find something new and it affects our lives in some way or the other. The world has changed so much making our lives easier. Few generations ago we wouldn’t have even imagined what we have now, and we don’t know what gadgets we would have in future.
Here we will mention five devices that are made of concepts for the future. For now, it is just a concept, and some might be developed, some might just remain as ideas:
1. Sunny Paper for charging:
A solar paper that can be folded as well as used for charging has been developed. It would make it incredibly easy for users to carry it around. It would be light as well as easy to use. It would give users the freedom to fold and take them in books. This would not cause damage, and its weight would be around 120 grams. Creators in Chicago have developed the thinnest solar cells for this. It has been said that on a sunny day it would take 2.5 hours to charge iPhone 6.
2. Microsoft HoloLens:
Microsoft has presented a concept that would allow users to create or use projected holograms which would require the HoloLens goggles. It would also enable users to virtually or visually transport themselves into any location.
3. Smart Mirror:
Smart Mirror by Perseus Mirrors presents us the concept of making mirrors multipurpose. Not only will it be used for the basic purpose of a mirror but it will have features of showing the time, calendar events, weather, play media files, pictures, read the news and also stay in touch with social networking sites. It will have HD camera, wifi, speakers, anti moisture plus fogging and also Bluetooth. It would also be able to connect with phones and create as well as edit profiles for each person.
Another new concept given is the gadget Alex. A lot of gadgets are for entertainment purposes, but this gadget is for health purpose. It is a product that would help in preventing pain in the user’s neck as well as back. It will be designed to monitor the posture of the user. It functions by vibrating whenever the user sits stands or bends in an undesirable position. So it corrects the position. It is said to be helpful especially for people who spends a lot of time sitting in front of the computer or laptop.
5. Flexible Smartphones:
A prototype for a flexible smartphone called ReFlex has been developed by the Human Media Laboratory in Canada. Users can bend and flex the phone which would not break. While reading, the page turns over faster if users turn the phone. The prototype has used the flexible OLED display and is said to be released in the markets within five years.
